Pacific Light
Pacific Light, a 1985 Lancer 45 Motorsailer designed after the well known Nauticat 44, (but slightly larger and with twin diesels), was first produced in 1985. Only 5 (or 8, depending on the source) were built before Lancer went out of business, a result of the oil embargo at that time and the resultant high cost of resin. This boat was to be the first of Lancer's new line...they modified the hull mold of the older 44' "Powersailer" and built a new deck mold that included an aft cabin, an aft swim platform and other differences.
